SBIA Australia in Sydney is seeking a Graduate MIS Analyst to support the Finance team with standard financial reports, regulatory inputs and performance data. The role operates within defined routines and is reviewed by the Finance Manager before submission.

This development position suits a recent graduate aiming a career in bank finance and regulatory reporting, with exposure to APRA/ASIC processes and monthly reporting cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Recent graduate, or up to 12 months' experience in financial reporting, MIS or regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry.
• Studying towards CA, CPA or another relevant certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• APRA & ABS Returns: Collate data and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns using established templates and procedures, for review and submission by the Finance Manager.
• Audit Support: Assist with preparation of standard audit schedules and supporting documents, and provide information requested by auditors.
• Data Checks: Perform routine checks on KPI and financial data in line with established checklists.
• Daily Monitoring: Run daily asset and liability position reports from the MIS system and report exceptions to the Finance Manager.
• Asset and Liability Reports: Assist with preparation of standard currency-wise, sector-wise, maturity-wise and country-wise reports on the banking book from the MIS system.
