Job summary

IAIP in Sydney, Australia, seeks a qualified Regulatory Accountant to join our finance team. You will support regulatory and financial reporting within a highly regulated financial services environment, liaising with senior stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Risk and Technology.

You’ll contribute to governance, controls and continuous improvement, with exposure to APRA prudential and statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA and experience in financial or regulatory reporting within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Exposure to APRA prudential or regulatory reporting would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regulatory returns and ensure reporting obligations are delivered accurately and on time.
• Assist with statutory and financial reporting requirements, including periodic financial statements and board reporting.
• Prepare head office reporting and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support interpretation of regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Maintain detailed working papers, documentation and audit evidence.
• Respond to regulatory and audit enquiries in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Risk and Technology teams to improve reporting processes and data quality.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting activities and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to finance projects focused on governance, controls and continuous improvement.
