Job summary
MGN Civil in Brisbane is seeking a Graduate Geospatial Developer to join the Geospatial & Digital team. The role involves turning geospatial data into tools to accelerate civil construction and to support site teams and project engineers in analyzing as-built data against designs.
Regular travel to Southeast Queensland construction sites is required. The role will grow into spatial automation and AI-assisted data processing, with responsibilities in ArcGIS/QGIS, Python, FME, REST APIs, and AWS
Qualifications
- A degree in Geographic Information Science, Surveying and Spatial Science, IT, or Software Engineering or related field.
- Combination of spatial and IT qualifications is highly regarded.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS; spatial analysis and coordinate systems.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases; large spatial datasets.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Turn geospatial data into tools to support site teams and project engineers.
- Analyze as-built construction data against project designs.
- Develop scripts and applications to automate repetitive workflows.
- Support field surveys on active sites and assist with data retrieval.
