Job summary

Infrastructure Business Growth Pty Ltd in Maroochydore, QLD, is seeking a Surveyor/Data Manager to oversee survey control, field data and spatial information for a major rail and civil works project.

You will validate data, manage datasets for design, BIM, GIS and handover, and ensure traceability and accuracy across the project lifecycle. Relocation packages are on offer and Australian experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in surveying, geomatics or spatial science; relevant registration where required.
• 7+ years' construction-survey experience including data leadership on major civil or rail projects.
• Total stations, GNSS, scanning, monitoring and BIM/GIS data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Establish and protect project survey control and calibration records
• Plan and review set-out, feature surveys, monitoring, scanning and as-built activities
• Validate field data, coordinate systems and metadata for transfer into design, BIM, GIS and asset platforms
• Investigate survey discrepancies before affected work is covered
• Maintain survey and spatial-data registers, backups and access controls

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Surveyor / Data Manager to manage survey control, field data and spatial information so construction and handover decisions rest on accurate, traceable datasets.
