Job summary

Westgold Resources is seeking Graduate Geologists to join our 2026/2027 intake, offering hands-on exposure and a structured development path to build a foundation for a long-term career in mining geology.

You will report to the Senior Geologist and participate in a graduate program designed to provide exposure to a broad range of core geological activities, with mentoring and on-the-job training in an established gold mining environment.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Geology (or graduating in 2026/2027).
• Current manual C Class driver’s licence.
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to pass Westgold’s pre-employment medical and D&A screening.

Responsibilities

• Collect geological data and record geochemical observations.
• Core processing, logging and sampling activities.
• Geological mapping and observation of structural and lithological features.
• Assist QA/QC processes and data integrity checks.
• Produce production and reconciliation reports with geological context.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will participate in a graduate program designed to provide exposure to a broad range of core geological activities. You will gain practical operational skills and be supported through mentoring and on‑the‑job training by experienced and enthusiastic geology leaders.

This role provides the opportunity to develop technical capability across production and operational geology while working within an established gold mining environment.

What you'll be involved in

About you
