Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited in NSW is seeking a Graduate Exploration Geologist to join the Geology team. You will gain hands-on exposure across exploration activities in the Cobar Basin, supporting planning, fieldwork, logging, data collection and interpretation.

You will work with experienced geologists on drillhole planning, mapping, and data management, building your technical skills during the exploration lifecycle. This role offers development and a clear pathway in mineral exploration.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geoscience, Geology or a related discipline; Honours highly regarded.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, collaborative and safety-focused approach.
• Genuine interest in mineral exploration and practical geology.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and data management.
• Current Australian working rights and unrestricted Australian C Class Driver's Licence; Manual Licence highly regarded.
• Previous field or exploration experience, and familiarity with geological databases or spatial software.

About The Role

As a Graduate Exploration Geologist, you'll join Aurelia's Geology team and gain broad, hands-on exposure across exploration activities within the Cobar Basin. Working alongside experienced geologists, you'll support exploration programs from planning and field activities through to core processing, geological logging, data collection and interpretation. You'll also gain exposure to drillhole planning, geological mapping, spatial data management and exploration reporting, developing your technical skills across the exploration lifecycle. This is an opportunity to apply your university studies in a practical exploration environment, work across a range of geological projects and build a strong foundation for a career in mineral exploration.

• Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)
• Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel options

• Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance
• DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
• FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
