Job summary

AGL is seeking a Graduate Market Trader & Analyst to join the Wholesale and Trading team in Perth, WA. The role involves learning WA gas and electricity markets, on-the-job pricing, analytics, and financial modelling under supervision.

You will assist in portfolio management, pricing decisions, and providing high-quality analysis of energy consumption scenarios, with weekend coverage on a rotating roster basis.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high proficiency and extensive experience in MS Excel and modelling principles.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to manage and analyse mass data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in plain English.
• Ability to work unsupervised, stay motivated and take initiative.
• Efficient, highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Reporting of Retail and Wholesale Energy Market Position.
• Short-, Medium- and Long-Term Forecasting.
• Trading/Commercial Daily Trading and submissions following market rules.
• Review and validation of AEMO invoices and related information.
• Retail product and wholesale pricing, reporting and process improvement.
