Job summary

AGL Energy in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to lead financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for the Credit & Affordability portfolio, partnering with operational leaders to drive data-driven decisions.

You'll develop financial models, business cases and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, and deliver executive reporting that translates complex data into clear business outcomes using Power BI, SQL and Excel.

Qualifications

Experience in a commercial, finance, strategy or analytical role within a large, complex organisation.
Strong capability in financial forecasting, budgeting, modelling and scenario analysis.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large datasets and BI tools.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for the Credit & Affordability portfolio.
Develop financial models, business cases and scenario analyses to support initiatives.
Deliver commercial insights and recommendations to drive performance.
Utilise Power BI, SQL and large datasets to generate actionable insights.
Prepare executive-level reporting translating data into clear business outcomes.
Partner with leaders across Finance, Credit & Affordability and Customer Operations.
