City of Gold Coast is offering a 12-month Graduate Academy to kickstart your career in data science. You’ll join the Performance and Analytics team and build real-world data insights for environmental, resilience and infrastructure projects.

Starting February 2027, successful candidates will work on diverse datasets, apply R/Python, ML techniques, and data visualisation tools to drive informed decisions and business improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Data Science, CS, Math or related fields.
• Graduates must have completed degree within the last two years or before Feb 2027.
• Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the program duration.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex data into meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate on Environment, Heritage and Resilience projects and Infrastructure datasets.
• Develop and apply modern data science methods and ML/AI techniques.
• Create data visualisations and automated reporting for stakeholders.
