Job summary

City of Gold Coast is offering a full-time, 12-month Utilities Systems Intelligence Graduate Academy starting February 2027. You will work on real projects, learn from industry leaders, and gain hands-on experience in data analysis, SCADA, PI telemetry, and reporting to support network performance.

Applicants have earned a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science or IT within the last two years, with Australian work rights and the ability to commit to

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects and initiatives within Utilities Systems Intelligence to shape and connect the City.
• Develop data analytics tools, reporting and insights to monitor and improve network performance across Utilities.
• Learn from industry leaders and mentors through the Graduate Academy and gain hands-on experience with SCADA, PI and telemetry data.

• Full Time Fixed Term | 9-day fortnight | 36 hours per week
• Salary: From $86,611 per annum plus superannuation

What’s on offer

Join the Utilities Systems Intelligence team and get hands‑on experience with the systems that help keep the City's water, sewer and recycled water networks running. You will work with SCADA, PI, telemetry and the operational data and analytics built around them. From day one, you will be involved in real operational challenges, building your skills in data analysis while helping develop the tools, reporting and insights that support network monitoring, modelling and performance improvement across Utilities.

Who can apply?

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2027. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
