Cathay Chung Yue Estate Pty Ltd is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team in Rhodes, NSW. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on experience across civil and structural projects and a clear path for professional development within our growing business.

The position emphasizes cost estimation, tender preparation, drawing review, and document control, with mentoring from seasoned engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Construction or related Engineering.
• 0-2 years experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with spreadsheets and cost data.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and other tender documentation.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and material measurements from drawings.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations and assist with cost analysis.
• Maintain estimating spreadsheets, cost databases and pricing records.
• Support with identification of scope gaps, design changes and cost variations during estimating.
