Job summary

Dematic Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Graduate or Junior AGV Engineer to join our Mobile Automation team, working with our AGV technology.

You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of AGV systems, including testing, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting and customer support, with opportunities to visit customer sites.

The role offers hybrid work after training, a competitive salary and benefits, and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechatronics / Robotics / Industrial Automation.
Experience in electrical design and installation.
Knowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of AGV PLCs (desirable).
Technical Writing (desirable).
Knowledge of PC and basic programming.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers by investigating, resolving, and escalating Mobile Automation system issues while keeping customers informed.
Manage incidents and project tasks to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards while following internal procedures.
Communicate and build strong relationships with customers, including training operators and client personnel.
Maintain accurate documentation, including technical records and reports.
Commissioning of AGVs on-site.
Assisting senior engineers with costing, scheduling and ordering hardware/equipment.
System upgrades and configuration of computer hardware.
Testing and integration of AGV and PLC systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, continuously improve skills, and support on-call and the overall team.
