Job summary

Dematic’s Mobile Automation team is seeking a Graduate or Junior AGV Engineer to join our advancing automation business in Adelaide. You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of AGV systems, including testing, integration, commissioning and customer support.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, visit customer sites, and have opportunities to develop skills in PLCs, hardware configuration, and system integration while contributing to safe, reliable automated solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree is required.
• Experience in electrical design and installation is desirable.
• Knowledge of AGV PLC configuration, programming and commissioning is desirable.
• Technical writing skills are desirable.
• Good PC skills and basic programming knowledge are expected.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and be adaptable to challenging situations.
• Must have full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers by investigating and resolving Mobile Automation system issues and escalate as needed.
• Manage incidents and project tasks to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Communicate and build strong relationships with customers, including training operators and client personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including technical records and reports.
• Commissioning of AGVs on-site.
• Assist senior engineers with costing, scheduling and ordering hardware/equipment.
• System upgrades and configuration of computer hardware.
• Testing and integration of AGV and PLC systems.
• Ensure safety standards are met and support on-call and team activities.
