Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Graduate Accountant to support the Finance Manager across Austbreck Pty Ltd and RMS Pty Ltd. You will gain experience in day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and project accounting using Sage, M1, and OneStream.

This entry-level role offers exposure to intercompany processes and consolidation activities with a hybrid work model (home Mondays/Fridays; 3 days in the office in NSW).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Currently pursuing or intending to commence CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in learning Sage, M1, and OneStream (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous internship or part-time experience in a finance team (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• General Accounting Support: prepare monthly/quarterly reporting, post journal entries, reconcile ledgers, manage fixed assets, assist intercompany reconciliations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting Support: assist with budgets, forecasts, trend analysis, and alignment across ERP systems.
• Project Accounting Assistance: set up projects, track costs, perform job costing, support billing.
• Compliance & Audit Support: BAS, GST, PAYG reconciliations and compliance documentation.
• Working with Shared Services Team: collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, AP/AR for data accuracy.
• Reporting & Systems: generate reports from Sage, M1, and OneStream and ensure data integrity.
