WesTrac NSW/ACT is seeking a Finance Analyst to support month-end reporting, governance and stakeholder collaboration. You will turn data into insights, address financial and commercial challenges, and contribute to business initiatives.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance, strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and experience with accounting software. A proactive communicator who can work with cross-functional teams will thrive.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in Chartered or commercial accounting with solid accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret financial information.
• Excellent Excel and systems capability with accounting software experience; reporting automation a bonus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in month-end reporting, preparing journals and analysing variances.
• Analyse margins, overheads and revenue across Parts, Service and Solutions to identify trends.
• Contribute to CAT reporting, ELT reporting and monthly Board inputs.
• Review controls, reconciliations, discrepancies, and advise on accruals and provisions.
• Partner with Functional Managers to solve problems and support decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.
