Job summary

Tailored Accounts in Canberra is seeking graduates and early-career accountants to grow practical skills with modern technology and long-term career potential. You will work with senior accountants on diverse client portfolios, handling core accounting tasks and advisory projects in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for client portfolios across multiple industries.
• Process accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Support advisory projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support.

We are growing our Canberra team and are looking for motivated graduates and early-career accountants who want to develop practical skills, work with modern technology, and build a successful accounting career.

Your role

You will work closely with senior accountants and managers across a broad range of clients and industries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Management accounting using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and related systems
• Accounts payable and receivable processing
• Payroll processing and payroll accounting
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with financial reporting and tax compliance
• Supporting advisory and business improvement projects
• General accounting and administrative support as required

Depending on the nature of the work, you may work from our Canberra office, remotely, or occasionally at client sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Planning to commence or currently undertaking CPA/CA studies
• Some accounting or bookkeeping experience is advantageous, but not essential
