Job summary
Metro Mining Limited is seeking a Logging Geologist to support grade control drilling and sampling programs, ensuring accurate ore definition and quality control. The role involves field-based logging, sampling supervision, QA/QC oversight, and data capture to support production targets while complying with safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences preferred, not essential
- Experience in grade control logging, preferably in bauxite or lateritic deposits
- Strong understanding of sampling protocols and QA/QC procedures
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote operational environment
- Strong data management and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Log grade control drill holes accurately according to geological logging standards
- Identify lithology, ore boundaries, contaminants, and ensure drilling to correct depth
- Supervise sampling processes and ensure representative samples
- Maintain sample labelling, dispatch, and tracking
- Conduct QA/QC checks on drilling and sampling activities
- Validate geological data prior to database entry
- Maintain geological databases and data integrity
- Ensure activities align with safety, environmental approvals and boundaries
- Work within the FIFO roster and site safety management systems
