Job summary

IREN is hiring a Reliability & Observability Analyst II for its 24/7 HPC data center operations in Sydney. You will perform advanced incident triage, tune monitoring and dashboards, and build small automations to reduce toil and improve MTTR.

You will partner with IOC, engineering, and facilities teams to validate signals, improve alert quality, and ensure telemetry is actionable for rapid triage and escalation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IOC/NOC/SRE-adjacent roles in 24/7 environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Ability to improve detection, response, and service stability.
• Strong Linux knowledge and networking basics.
• Experience with GPU compute environments and high-density clusters.
• Proven track record reducing false positives and improving alerts.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced Level 2 incident analysis across GPU clusters, networks and facilities.
• Maintain IOC dashboards and metrics reflecting alert effectiveness and MTTR.
• Identify and tune alerting gaps, thresholds, routing, and enrichment.
• Own alert quality outcomes and reduce alert fatigue via standards.
• Analyze GPU health signals to support faster triage and escalation.
• Validate automated detections and ensure signals align with reality.
• Implement IOC automation to standardize response and reduce toil.
• Ensure ITSM records are complete and support RCA workflows.
• Coach analysts and maintain IOC documentation.
• Support shift operations with detailed incident handoffs.
