Job summary

NW Mining & Civil is seeking experienced GPS bulk earthworks operators for a tailings dam wall lift project at a remote mine site south of Cloncurry. The role is FIFO with a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster and 12-hour day shifts.

You will operate 36t diggers with GPS, 140H&M graders with GPS, and D6-8 dozers (no GPS) in a safety-focused team. Local applicants from Mt Isa or Cloncurry preferred; flights from Brisbane or Townsville are available, with camp accommodation provided during your swing.

Job description

GPS Bulk Earthworks Operators - FIFO to Cloncurry

• GPS & bulk earthworks experience essential, preferably on a tailings dam
• Immediate start, $58/hr

NW Mining & Civil are seeking experienced GPS bulk earthworks operators for a tailings dam wall lift project at a remote mine site south of Cloncurry.

The project is underway and is due for completion in Jan/Feb next year, we require experienced operators who are available straight away and have any combo of skills operating 36t diggers with GPS, 140H&M graders with GPS and D6-8 dozers (no GPS).

Bulk earthworks exp is essential and tailings dam experience is preferred, you should also be reliable, a team player and committed to safety on the job.

Local Mt Isa or Cloncurry applicants are preferred, otherwise flights are available from Brisbane or Townsville only, so you must live close to either airport. You’ll be staying at camp while on shift.

Roster is 2 weeks on, 1 week off, working 12hr day shifts. Travel time on the charter flight is paid. Pay rate is $58/hr flat rate.

Applicants who already have a medical including MMQ RHS will be highly regarded as you can commence work sooner.

• Be able to pass a pre employment medical (including MMQ RHS) & D&A screening
• Ability to complete mine site online inductions prior to commencement
