Job summary

NW Mining & Civil is seeking an experienced earthworks supervisor for a tailings dam project near Cloncurry, Queensland. The role is FIFO from regional hubs with a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster and 12-hour day shifts.

You will lead a crew of 10–15 operators on tailings dam or bulk earthworks, with an immediate start and a focus on safety, communication, and efficiency on site. Camp accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have QLD Supervisor Cert (S123) or equivalent.
• Experience supervising tailings dam or bulk earthworks projects.
• Pass pre-employment medical including MMQ RHS and D&A screening.
• Ability to complete mine site online inductions prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of 10–15 operators on tailings dam or bulk earthworks project.
• Manage day-to-day earthworks operations and safety on site.
• Coordinate travel, flights, and camp arrangements for FIFO roster.
• Ensure compliance with inductions and site protocols.

Earthworks Supervisor - FIFO to Cloncurry

• Immediate start, $75/hr

NW Mining & Civil are seeking an experienced earthworks supervisor for a tailings dam wall lift project at a remote mine site south of Cloncurry.

The project is underway and is due for completion in Jan/Feb next year, we require an experienced supervisor who is available straight away and has previously led a crew of 10-15 on a tailings dam or bulk earthworks project.

Along with the above experience, you should be organised, efficient, a great team communicator and motivator, and above all committed to safety on the job.

Local Mt Isa or Cloncurry applicants are preferred, otherwise flights are available from Brisbane or Townsville only, so you must live close to either airport. You’ll be staying at camp while on shift.

Roster is 2 weeks on, 1 week off, working 12hr day shifts. Travel time on the charter flight is paid. Pay rate is $75/hr flat rate.

Applicants who already have a medical including MMQ RHS will be highly regarded as you can commence work sooner.
