Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a GP Partner to join a practice as part of the partnership, handling clinical leadership and strategic development within the GP team.

The role involves high-quality patient care, governance, and collaboration with the Primary Care Network and local health services. Partnership session commitments are 4–6, with duties spanning clinical and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective and evidence-based clinical care to registered patients, including diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Undertake appropriate clinical administration, including referrals, results, correspondence, clinical coding and documentation
• Participate in clinical governance, significant event reviews, audits, safeguarding and quality improvement.
• Contribute to practice strategy, service development, workforce planning and business decisions.
• Share responsibility for the finance and operational management of practice in accordance with the partnership agreement.
• Support the recruitment, supervision, development and wellbeing of practice staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant NHS contractual requirements, CQC standards, GMC guidance and applicable legislation.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, Primary Care Network and local health and social care services.
• Participate in practice meetings and contribute to effective communication and decision making between partners and staff.
