Job summary

Operose Health Croydon GP Hub is recruiting part-time doctors to provide urgent primary care across 8am-8pm year-round. Roles include on-site and video consultations, triage, and patient management, with a strong focus on governance and quality improvement.

Work patterns include 1 to 2 sessions per week, with weekend work also available. You will join a dedicated team supported by clinical leads and management to deliver safe, effective care and robust service delivery.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and GP accreditation required.
• Strong commitment to delivering quality patient care.
• Solid understanding of QOF, LCS, DES and CQUINs.
• Proficient in clinical coding and electronic records.
• Familiarity with SystmOne or EMISweb systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to GP surgery patients and support operations with clinical leads.
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement via audits and QOF.
• Provide clinical care per the job plan including consultations, triage, meds, and home visits.
• Adhere to GMC standards and prioritize patient care.
• Support development and review of the surgery action plan with KPI targets and cost management.

The Croydon GP Hubs are in place to provide urgent, on-the-day care, for patients with minor illness or minor injury. We are staffed by a mix of General Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners, who together provide a wide range of skills, abilities and experience.

The GP Hub role provides professional and clinical care in order to ensure safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients. Closely supported by the Clinical Lead GP and the management team, the post holder will participate with colleagues to maintain a rota service for the GP Hub services within Croydon.

The role will be at the forefront of delivering an innovative model of urgent primary care service provision working with the wider teams within Operose Health sharing best practice and continuous development.

The postholder will strive to maintain quality within the GP Hub ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in quality of health outcomes through audit and Quality monitoring, whilst contributing to the service achieving other quality standards to include CQC standards.

The GP Hub operates 8am-8pm daily, or 22:00 at our ED redirection HUB, 365 days per year - work pattern may incorporate work across all Hub sites and sessions within this timeframe.

Main Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

• To deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery and to work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan.
• You will strive to maintain qualify within the practice ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in qualify health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework and contributing to the practice achieving other qualify standards to include CQC standards.
• To provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration,safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours).
• To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority.
• Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan – including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.

What we look for in new colleagues:

• Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list and engaged in regular clinical work.
• An experienced doctor with GP accreditation – MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
• Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services.
• Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
• Ideally have a working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.

Package Description:

How we’ll support you:

• Annual salary of up to £112,500 depending on experience and £11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs.
• Full indemnity cover.
• Six weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata.
• Support for SPIN fellowship applications.
• Support with a Tier 2 visa if required, subject to approval by the GMC and GP Performers List.
