Job summary

NSW Department of Customer Service in Sydney CBD is seeking a Project Officer, Governance for the Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4 program. The role coordinates secretariat functions for Shared Decision-Making Forums and supports governance, planning and implementation with internal and Aboriginal partners.

You will liaise with government stakeholders, ACCOs and peak bodies to ensure forums operate effectively, maintain records, and produce briefing notes, minutes, and reports while

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal communities, organisations, or stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting or coordinating projects, tracking actions, maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretariat support for Shared Decision-Making Forums, including coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes, and action registers.
• Support planning and delivery of activities associated with Shared Decision-Making Forums and Closing the Gap initiatives.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, Aboriginal organisations, and external partners to coordinate meetings and gather information.
• Assist in preparing briefing notes, correspondence, presentations, reports, and governance papers.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, and other artefacts for delivery and reporting.
• Support procurement processes by preparing documentation and coordinating activities.
• Maintain accurate records and information management systems and project files.
• Undertake research and administrative tasks to support policy, project, and implementation work.
• Contribute to effective delivery of program objectives through coordination and project support across workstreams.
