APRA is seeking an Advisor to develop, implement, and continuously improve APRA’s internal governance framework. You will apply governance expertise to facilitate oversight, decision-making and accountability across executive governance committees.

Reporting to the Head of Governance, you’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to align governance arrangements with APRA’s strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• High degree of discretion and integrity for confidential information.
• Sound judgement with ability to identify governance risk and pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Collaborative team player who can work across various business areas.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Experience within a regulatory or financial services environment.
• Experience with board management software, corporate governance principles and secretariat processes would be highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Support executive decision making by coordinating committees, managing agendas and providing timely and accurate information.
• Provide advice to business areas to ensure effective presentation of agenda items, including alignment to strategic priorities and timely consideration by the appropriate committee.
• Monitor governance decisions and actions to support accountability and timely implementation.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes to ensure effective governance practices; and
• Support compliance with governance requirements and regulatory obligations.
