Job summary

Mornington Peninsula Shire invites applications for the General Manager role at Mount Martha Public Golf Course. You will lead all golf operations, customer experience, pro shop services and facility management, while steering financial performance and community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience within the golf industry.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams while fostering an inclusive, customer-focused culture.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, business performance, revenue growth and operational improvement initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve issues effectively.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic plans, participation programs and service initiatives that enhance customer and community outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Leading all aspects of golf course operations, customer experience, pro shop services and facility management.
• Driving financial performance through effective budget management, business planning, revenue growth and performance reporting.
• Building a high-performing and customer-focused team culture through leadership, coaching and workforce development.
• Growing participation, events, memberships and community engagement opportunities.
• Developing strong relationships with members, user groups, local businesses and community stakeholders.
• Overseeing governance, risk management, workplace safety and compliance obligations.
• Contributing to strategic planning, capital works initiatives, procurement activities and continuous improvement programs.
