Austin Group is seeking an exceptional General Manager – Strategy & Transformation to shape our long-term direction and execute a multi-year transformation across commercial, customer, operational and digital initiatives. You will report to the CEO and lead a cross-functional program with AI as a key enabler.

The role requires senior experience in strategy or transformation, strong retail/consumer knowledge, and a proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes in a growth-focused Australian

Qualifications

• Senior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or transformation.
• Strong knowledge of retail or consumer sectors.
• Proven success delivering complex transformation programs across functions.
• Exceptional commercial, financial-modelling and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding AI and its practical application in retail and customer-focused businesses.
• Excellent executive and board-level communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group’s strategy and annual strategic planning process.
• Establish and lead the Transformation Office with governance and benefits realisation.
• Lead strategic analysis, business cases and recommendations for the Executive Team and Board.
• Drive priority transformation initiatives across multiple functions.
• Partner with the CTO to identify and embed AI-enabled opportunities.
• Own the Executive Team scorecard and reporting framework.
• Lead change and communication strategies to build engagement and outcomes.
