National Intermodal Corporation in Sydney CBD seeks a General Manager Finance - Corporate to lead business partnering, planning and decision support across corporate functions, and oversee financial control, statutory reporting, tax and treasury for the organisation.

The role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can partner with executives, manage capital programs, drive finance transformation with ERP and AI, and develop a high-performing team with robust governance for Board stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA with tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics.
• Strategic, enterprise-minded leader who is hands-on.
• Senior leadership experience in financial control, business partnering, FP&A and reporting to Boards.
• Experience managing a large capital infrastructure portfolio and funding.
• Ability to influence executives and challenge the status quo.
• Strong technical accounting, governance, and controls expertise; experience in tax and treasury.
• Clear communicator who conveys complex financials to executives and board.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Leadership Team and function leaders as a trusted advisor; provide commercial insight.
• Lead budgets, forecasts and long-range plans; deliver reporting to SLT, Board, Audit & Risk, and shareholders.
• Support CFO on capital management, funding, liquidity, and equity/debt planning.
• Oversee Financial Control end-to-end; month/year-end close, statutory statements, audits, climate disclosures.
• Oversee tax compliance and treasury operations; strengthen governance and controls.
• Lead finance transformation with Technology; optimise Dynamics 365 and utilise AI/automation.
• Coach and develop a high-performing finance team; build capability and succession depth.
