Job summary

DLF Seeds is seeking an International Seed Sales Manager to create, direct and manage seed sales across established international markets. This on-site Melbourne role reports to the BU Oceania and focuses on growing international business with a commercially minded approach.

You will work with production, sales, supply chain and international teams to deliver reliable outcomes, manage pricing, contracts and forecasting, and coordinate export activities for global markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in junior trading, commodity merchandising, agricultural sales or export coordination
• Confidence working with pricing, contracts and commercial information
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Interest in international trade and agricultural markets

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with established international customers, brokers and suppliers.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate sales and purchase contracts within guidelines.
• Coordinate customer orders from enquiry through to delivery.
• Monitor seed availability, commodity pricing, market conditions and customer demand.
• Contribute to sales budgets, forecasts, inventory planning and reporting.
• Collaborate with Production, Export & Supply Chain to align customer requirements with supply.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing and contract information.
• Share customer feedback and market insights across the business.
• Support customer visits, trade shows and other international sales activities.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• A qualification in agriculture, agribusiness, commerce or a related field would be beneficial.
• Early experience in commodity trading, agricultural sales, export coordination or a related commercially focused role.
• An interest in and knowledge of international trade and agricultural markets.
• Confidence working with pricing, contracts and commercial information.
• Clear and professional communication skills and excellent organisational skills .
• The ability to build trusted relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share information and involve others.
• Confidence using Excel, planning tools and business systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
