Job summary

VGW is seeking a Privacy Specialist to support the Data Protection Manager in aligning VGW’s operations with global privacy regulations. The role focuses on embedding privacy-by-design practices, from data inventory to incident management, across the organisation.

The candidate will work with global stakeholders across technology, legal, security and procurement to ensure successful execution of the VGW Privacy Framework and to handle inquiries, regulatory notices and breaches in accordance with

Qualifications

• Degree or practical equivalent in Law, Data Protection or related field.
• Experience in data privacy, data protection, compliance or information security (up to 5 years).
• CIPP or equivalent privacy certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM and Australian APPs.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the privacy function (data inventory, flow mapping, DPIAs, privacy requests, policy drafting, regulatory monitoring, metrics, incident management).
• Drafts/updates privacy policies, notices, internal standards and workflows.
• Performs Privacy Impact Assessments for new processing activities, IT changes and data ingests.
• Provides internal privacy advisory to stakeholders and assists with DPIAs and audits.
• Acts as Privacy Lead in Vendor Risk Management and improves processes.
