Job summary

Bank of America Merrill Lynch MAPS provides front-line support for Equity, Derivatives, Clearing, Settlements and P&L in Global Markets Operations. The role supports Python-based apps and databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB) and collaborates with development and infrastructure across APAC (Australia, Singapore, Japan).

Includes on-call, weekend coverage, and adherence to ITIL incident/problem/change processes to ensure high availability. Markets APS hours typically run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM local.

Qualifications

• ITIL framework and operational best practices.
• Hands-on support of Equities post-trade platforms.
• Incidents, root cause analysis and permanent remediation.
• Experience with Oracle, MSSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk).
• DevOps tooling: Jenkins, GIT, Ansible, Autosys.
• Ability to work across APAC teams and global partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver application support for in-house and vendor apps in Global Markets.
• Triage incidents and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and ITIL processes.
• Diagnose complex issues with end-to-end coordination.
• Maintain high-quality problem resolution documentation.
• Correlate events across systems to surface root causes.
• Participate in on-call and weekend support for APAC business operations.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to meet timelines.
