Job summary

Alan Partners seeks a hands-on Support / Engineering Analyst to back its Australian offices in Sydney and Melbourne. The role blends end-user IT support with desktop operations and involvement in IT projects.

You will deliver reliable day-to-day technical support to internal users, support meetings and video setups, and collaborate with regional and global IT teams, traveling between Sydney and Melbourne as required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in desktop support or IT operations.
• Experience in a corporate environment; financial services experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS and iOS.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive); Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience with endpoint management tools like SCCM or Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
• Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., Zscaler, LogMeIn).
• Good understanding of desktop hardware, networking, access management and IT troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1–3 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and conferencing tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/OS/connectivity issues via remote, phone and on-site support.
• On-site floor-walking and desk-side assistance to internal users.
• Manage incidents and service requests via ITSM tools, resolving issues end-to-end.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and video conferencing tools.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning and device configuration.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, rollouts and system upgrades.
