Job summary

Globalization Partners is seeking an HR Specialist to act as the in-country HR expert for ANZ, handling onboarding, lifecycle events, and compliant workforce management. This 1-year fixed-term contract covers Australia with regional APAC support as needed.

You will manage complex employee relations, liaise with payroll and HR legal advisors, and advise on contracts, benefits, and mobility. Strong communication and HRIS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience.
• Deep expertise of labour laws and Australian employment legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards).
• Experience supporting complex employee relations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy with HRIS and collaboration tools (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for onboarding and lifecycle events in Australia, with regional support as needed.
• Manage complex employee relations cases and draft legally sound documentation.
• Build and manage relationships with payroll providers and HR legal advisors.
• Provide in-country expertise on benefits, compliance, and workforce planning.
• Advise on employment contracts, risk mitigation, and change management.
• Guide clients through Performance Improvement Plans and timely salary changes.
• Coordinate immigration and mobility needs with Global Mobility teams.
• Identify delegable tasks and document processes for smooth handovers.
• Drive automation and AI adoption to streamline HR processes.
• Lead compliance governance projects across ANZ markets.
• Contribute to global HR initiatives and continuous improvement.
