Job summary

Gartner's Protective Services team seeks a seasoned security leader to design and oversee security and safety programs for high-profile Gartner events and offices across the APAC region, including Australia, Japan and India. You will protect people, brand and operations by leading risk-based security plans and responding to incidents with discretion.

You will manage on-site security vendors, liaise with venue and law enforcement, and ensure compliance with regional laws while delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of event security operations experience, preferably with private-sector organizations for events up to 10,000 people.
• Fluency in English required; strong Japanese listening and speaking skills preferred.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building with teams, stakeholders, vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, and implement security standards and plans for Gartner events based on type, location, and risk.
• Partner with Gartner Conferences to implement security measures.
• Manage on-site security vendors to Gartner standards.
• Coordinate with venue security, venue management, and local law enforcement.
• Ensure legal compliance for security and health & safety at events.
• Execute event security crisis management plans and responses.
• Support executive and VIP security standards and practices.
• Liaise with external industry resources on security best practices.
