Trane Technologies is seeking a DC Tech and Service Ops Manager in Melbourne to oversee District Cooling service operations, provide technical support, and drive project execution across maintenance, repairs, upgrades, installations, commissioning and warranty activities.

You will lead the service team, balance resources, and ensure safe, compliant practices while supporting sales with engineering expertise and ensuring on-time delivery of projects and service commitments.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a DC Vertical / HVAC technical business environment.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing people, processes, and budgets.
• Preferred: Project Management qualification and field-based project management experience.
• Proven ability to build positive working relationships within a team, with direct reports and management.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise urgent vs important tasks, and schedule work.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the service coordination function to ensure an efficient response to customer needs across emergency repairs, maintenance, upgrades, installations, replacement parts, and long-term service agreements.
• Balance technician capability, training, and district resources to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Recruit, coach, train, and develop service employees, building strong customer service, process, and technical skills.
• Drive continuous improvement through performance management and technical training programs.
• Improve service team utilisation, manage expense budgets, and support cash flow via invoicing and efficient work processes.
• Ensure standard service procedures are developed, followed, and continuously improved to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain EH&S compliance and provide training for safe workplaces in workshops and at customer sites.
• Supervise and manage DC installation and construction works for quality and scheduling.
