Job summary

Employment Hero in Australia is seeking an Accountant to join the Finance team and work closely with the Finance Manager on day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, journals and accruals, with exposure to inter-company and FX transactions.

You will run daily accounts, maintain compliance, and help optimise financial processes while contributing to month-end close and supporting external audits.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of daily bank accounts across all entities
• Reconciliation of company credit cards and spend management platforms
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Preparing journal entries including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions
• Ownership of the Fixed Assets Register
• Completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that all reconciliation issues are investigated and resolved
• Assist in the external audits
• Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and involvement in standardising and optimising financial accounting processes
• Reconciliation and variance analysis of Company Spends
