Job summary

Flavorite, Australia’s largest glasshouse producer of fresh, premium produce, is seeking a Glasshouse Operations Supervisor for our Tatura site. You will lead day-to-day glasshouse operations, drive team performance, optimise labour, and ensure safe, efficient and high-quality outputs.

You will partner with operational leaders to maintain production standards and contribute to continuous improvement across the glasshouse.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Business, Agriculture, Horticulture or a related field (desirable).
• Experience in horticulture, FMCG or a similar operational environment.
• Experience leading frontline teams and coordinating labour requirements.
• Experience analysing operational data and using business systems to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop frontline teams; manage labour allocation and daily operations to hit targets.
• Oversee daily and weekly glasshouse activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and quality.
• Monitor production data and reporting to support workforce planning and decisions.
• Promote safety and quality culture; ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimise processes and outcomes.

What you will be doing and delivering

As the Glasshouse Operations Supervisor, you will be based at our Tatura site, reporting to the Glasshouse Operations Manager. You will play a key role in leading day-to-day glasshouse operations by driving team performance, optimising labour, and ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality operational outcomes. Working closely with operational leaders and support teams, you will lead frontline teams, maintain production and quality standards, and contribute to the ongoing success and continuous improvement of Flavorite's glasshouse operations.

• Lead, coach and develop frontline teams while managing labour allocation, daily operations and resources to achieve production, quality and productivity targets.
• Coordinate and oversee daily and weekly glasshouse activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Monitor production, labour performance and operational data, maintaining accurate reporting and supporting effective workforce planning and operational decision-making.
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture by ensuring compliance with workplace procedures, maintaining operational standards and proactively addressing risks and performance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise processes, improve operational efficiency and enhance team capability.

What you will bring to the role

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in Business, Agriculture, Horticulture or a related field (desirable).

Experience:

• Experience in horticulture, FMCG or a similar operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing frontline teams.
• Experience in labour planning, workforce coordination and operational execution.
• Experience analysing operational data, preparing reports and using business systems to support decision-making.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Technical Skills:

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build high-performing teams.
• Ability to coordinate labour, production and operational priorities to achieve business objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using operational systems such as Employment Hero or similar workforce management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive informed decisions.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, quality standards and continuous improvement principles.
