What you will be doing and delivering

As Site Manager, you’ll lead day‑to‑day operations at our Katunga site. Reporting to the Northern Region Operations Manager, you will drive site performance, lead cross‑functional teams, and ensure production, growing, harvesting, and crop care activities meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is a critical leadership role requiring on‑call availability (24/7) to respond to operational needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Site Leadership: Inspire, lead and develop teams across Growing, IPM, Harvesting, Crop Care and Production
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations, including planning, execution and reporting
  • People Leadership: Drive a high‑performance culture; support the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with HR
  • Health & Safety: Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and compliance, partnering with OHS teams and site leaders
  • Strategy & Planning: Align site goals with regional business strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Manage budgeting, reporting, and performance tracking to deliver business outcomes
  • Sustainability & Quality: Ensure growing strategies promote sustainability, crop quality, and optimal yield
What You’ll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business, or a related field (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ operational leadership experience, managing a large workforce within dynamic operations.
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation, modern awards, and employment relations (highly regarded).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, planning, and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change, build strong teams, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • High energy, strong judgment, and a passion for innovation and improvement.
