About the team
The Chief Technology Office (CTO) plays a critical role in enabling the City of Gold Coast to deliver reliable, secure and customer-focused technology services. Through our IT Operating Model, we provide governance, architecture, planning, delivery and operational services that support the organisation's strategic and operational priorities.
Spatial Services Technology manages and evolves the City's enterprise geospatial platform. The team provides the platform, governance, standards and reusable patterns that enable the organisation to use spatial technology securely, consistently and effectively.
The team is moving beyond traditional GIS administration toward a platform-led operating model that actively identifies, evaluates, pilots and operationalises new capabilities. This role is central to making that model work.
About the role
As the Application Support Officer, you will support the governance, administration, enablement and continuous improvement of the City's enterprise geospatial platform. Working across ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and associated spatial technologies, you will help ensure users have access to the right capabilities, guidance, standards and support to use GIS effectively and safely.
You will work with colleagues across Spatial Services Technology, Performance and Analytics and business areas to promote adoption of spatial capabilities, support platform governance and contribute to the evaluation and introduction of new platform features and services where they provide organisational value.
