Job summary

WSP in Australia is seeking Trainee/Junior/Intermediate Geotechnical Laboratory Technicians to join our NATA-accredited laboratory network in Western Australia. The role involves hands-on sample testing, routine laboratory work and collaboration with engineers and scientists on diverse projects.

You will support logistics, maintain equipment, and participate in site visits while upholding strong health, safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

Completion of high school maths is essential.
Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous but not required.
Basic mathematics and computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

Safely retrieve, prepare and test samples including soil, rock, aggregate and concrete.
Undertake routine laboratory testing under supervision in line with ISO 17025.
Operate and assist with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Support logistics including sample handling, storage, shipping and disposal.
Collaborate with engineers and laboratory teams to meet project deadlines.
Participate in site visits and rosters as required.
Maintain accurate records including timesheets and expenses.
Contribute to health, safety and environmental culture.
