Job summary

SGS Australia is seeking a Geotechnician in Malaga, WA to perform soils field testing and laboratory work across field and lab environments. You will prepare samples, run standard tests and provide reliable reports to clients, while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

The role includes occasional regional travel to project sites, working Monday to Friday in a full-time capacity, with opportunities to develop technical skills and contribute to infrastructure testing programs.

Qualifications

• Soil field and laboratory testing experience.
• NATA/ISO 17025 quality and reporting knowledge.
• Ability to work across field and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soils field testing (DCP, PSP, NDM).
• Collect, prepare, log and test construction material samples.
• Perform routine laboratory and field testing per standards.
• Set up, calibrate, maintain and clean testing equipment.
• Review test data and prepare clear reports.
• Communicate with clients and respond to testing requirements.
• Support junior technicians and safety practices.
