Job summary

Council Jobs seeks an experienced Geospatial leader to oversee the planning, delivery and ongoing management of geospatial systems and services for the Council and community.

You will guide the Geospatial team, develop spatial information strategies and ensure data/tools are applied to support organisational priorities and service delivery. This role emphasizes leadership, governance and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications relating to Geospatial Science or Information Technology.
• Substantial work experience relevant to the role including geospatial data management and systems administration.
• Experience supervising teams and contributing to strategic and operational planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geospatial team to deliver high-quality services to staff and the community.
• Develop, implement and maintain the Spatial Information Plan.
• Coordinate geospatial systems projects, policies, procedures and support services.
• Provide expert geospatial advice to stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers for geospatial apps.
• Contribute to ICT planning and projects to enhance geospatial use.
