Job summary

Hume City Council is seeking a Geospatial Information Officer to support the GIS team in developing, implementing, and managing the council’s GIS. You will work with datasets, create maps, and provide data extracts for staff and contractors.

The role involves assisting departments with corporate data integration, maintaining cadastral maps, and producing high-quality maps and spatial analyses. A tertiary GIS qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in GIS or relevant technologies.
• Ability to develop and deliver training for end users.
• Experience with spatial data interpretation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine administration and configuration of Council GIS applications.
• Provide end-user support for spatial data and applications.
• Assist with updating corporate data in the spatial database.
