Job summary

Aptella Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on technician to repair, calibrate, configure, and test a range of positioning, machine control, and geospatial equipment. The role involves pre-delivery checks, software updates, diagnostics, and customer-facing support across construction and surveying technologies.

You will work with GNSS and geospatial tech, preparing equipment for deployment, and assisting customers to maximise their investment. Local applicants only, onsite in Australia.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technician with practical experience in electronics or related technical industries.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibrate, configure, and test positioning, machine control, and geospatial equipment.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections, software updates, and product configuration.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across hardware and software solutions.
• Support field technicians and customers with technical advice and product expertise.
• Assist with onsite installations and customer support activities when required.
• Prepare service quotations and provide recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement solutions.
• Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and testing equipment to the highest standard.
• Assist with spare parts management and inventory control.
• Complete service documentation, reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products, systems, and service delivery.
