Job summary

Qualifications

• Honours or Masters degree in Geoscience or related area.
• Enrolled in PhD degree at University of Sydney.
• Passion for teaching; tutoring experience preferred.
• Strong GIS skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience using Canvas or similar LMS.

Responsibilities

• Engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences meeting education-focused staff standards.
• Deliver in-person practical classes, tutorials, workshops and learning activities for large first-year units.
• Develop and deploy learning resources and training materials for casual staff.
• Engage with student feedback and evaluate teaching practices.
• Suggest and evaluate improvements and innovations in teaching and learning.
• Develop best practices in teaching and learning.
• Attend School/Faculty meetings and contribute to events.
