About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Geology. The primary function of this position is to undertake research and teaching in the field of geology while also making a significant collaborative contribution to research using data science tools/methodologies applied to geology and geochemistry. Fieldwork experience and a research profile that demonstrates a potential connection towards critical mineral exploration is highly desirable. The position has responsibility for teaching courses in new and existing curricula at the undergraduate and postgraduate level under the broad theme of critical minerals and the energy transition. The applicant will be expected to teach fundamental and advanced concepts in geology effectively in the classroom, lab, and field, supported by digital-based approaches including virtual training and teaching.
