Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Geoscience Strategic Planner in Perth, Australia, to shape RC and diamond drilling programs that support WAIO’s mine plans. This role connects Perth and site Geoscience with Mine Planning, Heritage, Environment and delivery stakeholders.

You will design and align drilling programs, balance knowledge, timing, cost and safe execution, and work within an experienced team that values diversity and inclusion. This is a Perth-based, Monday to Friday opportunity.

Qualifications

• Geoscience background with strategic program planning.
• Ability to interpret geological information for planning.
• Experience in planning drilling programs (RC/diamond).

Responsibilities

• Design drill programs to improve deposit knowledge.
• Define program scope, timing, sequencing and technical requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align program designs.
• Develop optimised programs of work while maintaining safe execution.
• Manage multiple planning activities concurrently.
• Use Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS Pro and Primavera P6 to support planning.
• Communicate program intent, dependencies and changes to teams.
• Identify and support improvements to strategic planning and cross-functional work.
