Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking a Geology Technician to support open pit exploration and mining activities in Western Australia. The role involves rostered FIFO/DIDO options from Perth to Leonora or local residential arrangements, reporting to the Geology Superintendent.

You will monitor ore mining, record ore mining activities, perform grade control tasks, and assist the geology team to maximise recovery while minimising dilution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years employment history as a Geology Technician or Pit Technician.
• Experience with deposits of different types/styles.
• Geology software skills.
• Driver’s license (C Class, manual).

Responsibilities

• Monitor ore mining to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
• Provide accurate records of ore mining activities.
• Conduct ore mark-ups and prepare areas for mining.
• Co-coordinate grade control activities.
• Grade control sampling.
• Assist the mine geologists and production team with general duties.

Due to ongoing growth in open pit operations, we are seeking a Geology Technician with open pit mining experience who is motivated and enjoys working as part of a dynamic team within a growing company.

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent and working an 8/6, 7/7 roster, the role can be FIFO from Perth to Leonora, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or available for local residential.

The Opportunity
