Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking a Mine Geologist to join its team in Western Australia. The role focuses on geological analysis, risk assessment, and open pit planning, with responsibilities spanning sections, maps, wireframes, and resource classification.

You will map benches, supervise RC drilling, and ensure data integrity for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. A strong mentoring mindset and solid geoscience software skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce geological sections, plans, and long sections with mapped deposits.
• Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
• Map and document each mining bench with geology, structure, and mineralisation.
• Generate mineable shapes with minimal dilution and coordinate with engineers.
• Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction, and movements to maximise recovery.
• Ensure timely data entry, tracking, and reconciliation for reporting.
• Identify resources (inferred, indicated, measured) to meet mine requirements.
• Log RC grade control holes to required timeframes and quality.
• Design RC drill programs to define lodes ready for mining.
• Mentor geology technicians and support professional development.

Job Statement

We are seeking to employ an Open Pit Mine Geologist, to join a high performing team in a growing company.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will;

• Produce geological sections, plans, and long sections with interpreted and factual mapping of deposits.
• Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
• Map and document each mining bench, capturing geology, structure, and mineralisation.
• Generate mineable shapes (blocks) with minimal dilution and communicate extraction plans effectively with engineers and contractors, accounting for blast movement.
• Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction, and ore movements (dozing, grading) to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
• Ensure timely data entry, tracking, and reconciliation of ore movements for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Identify and classify inferred, indicated, and measured resources to meet mine requirements.
• Log all RC grade control holes to a high standard and within required timeframes.
• Design, set out, and implement RC drill programs to define lodes ready for mining.
• Mentor and support geology technicians, fostering professional development.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation in Leonora with great camp facilities including, gym as well as town facilities.
