Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking a Geology Technician to support open pit mining activities near Leonora and Laverton in Western Australia. The role offers an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Perth to Leonora or DIDO from Kalgoorlie, or local residential arrangements.

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will monitor ore mining, record ore activities, perform grade control tasks, and support the exploration and production teams with daily duties.

Qualifications

• Driver’s license (C Class, manual car) – essential.
• 2+ years employment history as Geology Technician or Pit Technician.
• Experience with different types and styles of deposits.
• Well-rounded geology software skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ore mining to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
• Provide accurate records of ore mining activities.
• Conduct ore mark-ups and prepare areas for mining.
• Coordinate grade control activities.
• Grade control sampling.
• Assist the mine geologists and production team with general duties.

The Opportunity
