Job summary

Evolution Mining Cowal Gold Operations seeks a Geologist – Resource Definition to help define mineral resources through near-mine exploration, resource-definition drilling, geological interpretation and data management.

Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist, you will deliver high-quality data, support drilling programs, maintain QAQC, and contribute to 3D modelling and mine planning to shape Cowal's long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geosciences.
• At least 2 years' experience in an operating mine or active resource stage exploration environment.
• Experience supporting or managing drilling programs, preferably diamond drilling.
• Strong geological logging and interpretation across lithology, structure, alteration and mineralisation.
• Experience with geological data collection, validation and QAQC processes.
• Proficiency with geological logging and 3D modelling software Leapfrog, DataShed or LogChief.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across technical teams.

This is an opportunity to build your geological career at an operation where your work directly influences resource growth, mine planning and the long-term future of the business. As our Geologist – Resource Definition, you'll help uncover and define the next stages of Cowal's mineral resource through near mine exploration, resource definition drilling, geological interpretation and data management.

Working an 8:6 residential roster with 12 hour day shifts, you'll enjoy the balance of extended time at home while remaining connected to a major mining operation. You'll join a collaborative geology team playing a key role in advancing resource definition programs that support Cowal's continued growth and future mining opportunities.

Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist, you'll:

• Deliver high quality geological data that supports resource growth and strategic mine planning.
• Contribute to safe and successful drilling programs across resource definition and near mine exploration activities.
• Apply orebody knowledge and geological interpretation to help identify and prioritise drilling opportunities.
• Maintain robust geological databases, sampling records and QAQC processes to ensure confidence in resource data.
• Collaborate with geology, technical services and drilling partners to improve geological understanding across the operation.
• Support the development and refinement of 3D geological models that inform operational and strategic decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance geological processes and outcomes.

Does this sound like you?
